Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Bridge app and the Dept 138 website. The short version: Bridge has no server and no account, so your captures stay on your own device and we never see them.

Last updated: June 2026

Who we are

Dept 138 is a creative technology studio based in Las Vegas, Nevada. We build digital products, including the Bridge app. You can reach us any time at hello@dept138.com.

The Bridge app

Bridge is a quick-capture tool that files what you type into your own Apple apps. It does not have a server, a Dept 138 account, or a login. Everything you capture is written directly to Apple Reminders — and, if you turn those options on, Apple Notes, Calendar, and Health — on your device.

Because there is no Dept 138 server in the middle, we do not collect, receive, store, or have access to anything you capture in Bridge. Your data is governed by Apple’s own privacy terms once it lands in their apps.

Permissions Bridge asks for

Bridge requests access to Apple Reminders so it can file your captures into the right list. The integrations with Notes, Calendar, and Health are optional and off until you enable them. You can grant or revoke any of these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. Bridge only uses these permissions to do the thing you asked it to do — file your capture — and for nothing else.

Information we do collect

The only time we receive information from you is when you choose to contact us — for example, by using the support form on this website or emailing us directly. In that case we receive the details you send: your name, email address, the topic, and your message. We use that information solely to respond to you and to fix the issue you raised.

The website support form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-processing service that passes the submission along as email. We do not use it to build profiles or mailing lists.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not run advertising or third-party trackers in the Bridge app. We do not use your support messages for anything other than support.

Data retention

Captures live in your Apple apps on your device, under your control — we hold none of them. Support emails stay in our inbox for as long as we need them to help you and keep a record of the conversation. You can ask us to delete your support correspondence at any time.

Children

Bridge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through the support form, email us and we will remove it.

Your choices

You control Bridge’s access through iOS permissions, and you control your captured data through the Apple apps it is stored in. For anything you have sent us by email or the support form, you can request a copy or deletion by writing to hello@dept138.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Bridge or this site handles data, we will update this page and revise the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
